Texas Rangers: With a good pitcher.
The Rangers have a negative record playing on the road this season. Five victories in twenty games on the road. So far the Rangers have not won a single series on the road. The team tied the short series (2 games) against Mariners 2-2, Diamondbacks 1-1 and Pirates 1-1. The current losing streak is five games. The Rangers were swept by the Astros in a long series of four games and the first game against the Royals.
On the road the Rangers are scoring an average of 4.95 runs per game, 3.70 walks, 8.75 hits, 1.20 home runs, 16.45 left on base. The defense has not worked on the road this season, 6.25 runs allowed per game, 4.25 walks, 7.65 strike outs, 9.40 hits, 1.55 home runs.
Mike Minor is the best on the Rangers roster this season with 3-3 and 2.68 ERA. Minor has good numbers 53.2 pitched innings, 39 hits, 16 runs, 6 home runs, 53 strike outs and 1,043 WHIP. But Minor’s record is negative on the road, 1-3 this season. The last victory for him was against the Mariners 15-1.
