Oakland Raiders vs. Minnesota Vikings, Week 3. First game on the road for the Raiders after playing the first two weeks at home. The second week was a failure for the Raiders, but the team lost to one of the greats in the NFL. That defeat against the Chiefs in the second week served to make Jon Gruden realize the defensive errors. The home team returns home after a painful defeat on the road against the Packers.
Oakland Raiders: All good so far.
The Raiders have played well. The first game of the season at home was a victory against the Broncos 26-16. In that game the favorites were not the Raiders, quite the opposite, the Broncos were favorites with Joe Flacco as QB. But Jon Gruden took advantage of the situation, and the offense was impeccable in the first half with 14 points. The second week the defeat was difficult against the Chiefs 10-28. The defense performed well in the second half of that game without allowing points.
This season the Raiders are scoring an average of 17.00 points, 23.5 rushes with 113.5 rush yards, 22.5 completed passes with 218.5 pass yards. So far the first half has been the best for the Raiders this season with 12.00 points on average. The defense allows up to 22.0 points per game.
Derek Carr 1-1-0 so far. 453 yards, 70.33% with 45 completed passes, 2 touchdowns and the only two interceptions were at home. 87.8 rating with three sacks. Only 4 rushes with 20 yards and a fumble.
Minnesota Vikings: At home without losing.
The Vikings won the first game of the season at home. The first victory was against the Falcons 28-12, total domination of the first three quarters. In the second week, the Vikings traveled to Green Bay to play against the Packers. That game was a 16-21 defeat. Last season the record at home was 5-3-0. The last on the road for the Vikings was on December 23, 2018 against the Lions 27-9.
This season the Vikings are scoring an average of 22.0 points per game, 32.5 rushes with 185.0 rush yards, 11.0 complete passes with 160.0 pass yards. The defense allows up to 16.5 points per game, 231.5 pass yards and 25.0 rushes.
Kirk Cousins 52.38% with 22 completed passes, 328 yards, 2 touchdowns, 2 interceptions on the road. At home, during the first game of the season Cousins had 140.8 rating. But Cousins was a disaster against the Packers with 52.9 ratings and the only two interceptions of the season so far for him.
