Miami Heat vs. Los Angeles Lakers, Game 1 NBA Finals. The time has come, the final series of the season for the title. Miami reaches the final after being an underdog for most of the season and much more during the playoffs. The Lakers arrive being leaders and champions of the conference. Both teams had tough series, but that was in the past. Now the two conference champions play for the final title.
Miami Heat: We are here to win.
The Heat won the final series to be crowned Eastern Conference champions against the Boston Celtics. It was a tough series where everyone expected a little more from the Celtics. But the Heat never gave up hope of advancing. Tyler Herro was a key player from the bench, but Jimmy Butler’s leadership was the most important thing during the series.
In the regular season the Heat did not play the Lakers. This is the first time they are going to meet. Miami Heat is scoring an average of 112.2 points in the postseason. 38.1 FG points, 13.3 three pointers, 82.10% free throw shots, 8.3 offensive rebounds, 25.1 assists, 7.5 blocks. The defense is the fifth best allowing only 107.2 points per game.
Dragic leads the Heat in the playoffs with 20.9 points per game. Just slightly better than Butler with 20.7 points and 45.7% FG Points. Adebayo is another important player who has played as a starter in all 15 playoff games. Adebayo is scoring 18.5 points. The leader of the bench and fourth best scorer is Tyler Herro with 16.5.
Los Angeles Lakers: For Kobe.
The Lakers, despite relying heavily on LeBron James and Anthony Davis, are in a unique final for them. This year Kobe Bryant died in an accident. The team seems to be inspired to win to honor Kobe’s memory. The series against the Nuggets was expected to be a bit tougher, but the Lakers proved to be in full control of the situation. The team is one of the best of the season.
In the playoffs the Lakers are the number one active offense with 113.9 points per game. 41.7 FG points, 11.3 three pointers, 74.7% free throw shots, 10.1 offensive rebounds, 25.9 assists and 8.5 steals. The team is solid in defense. In the playoffs the Los Angeles Lakers allow only 106.5 points per game.
Davis has the lead this season with 28.8 points per game in the playoffs. James only 26.7 points and 54.7% FG points. What’s special about James this season is his lead as best assists in the playoffs. Up to 8.9 assists per game for LeBron James. Kyle Kuzma leads the bench with 10.5 points per game.
