Chris Paul contributed 14 points, 7 assists and 3 rebounds. Capela was also incredible with 16 points and 12 rebounds. From the bench 35 points and 12 rebounds. Five reserve players saw minutes in the first game.
At home the average is still high with 116.9 points per game in the regular season. In the playoffs the average is 102.5 points per game, the defense is allowing from 2005 to 99.0 points per game. In February of this year they had also won against Jazz scoring more than 120 points, 125-98.
The historic ATS record of home games during the playoffs is 25-27-0 since 2005. In the 2017 season the ATS record was 5-5-0 at home and 7-3 wins-defeats. Last season they also played in the second round against the Jazz at home, 2-1 overall and 1-2-0 in the spread.

The Jazz barely had a positive record on the road during the regular season. But in the playoffs the suffering of the team continues. In the first game the starters scored an average of 10 points each, with Gobert being the best player with 22 points. But the defense, despite being number four in the league, allowed more than 120 points on the road.
The strength of Jazz is defense. In the regular season they were allowing only 108.5 points on the road. But during the playoffs the team tends to decline and allow up to 105.8 points. The offense is bad in the playoffs with only 97.8 points per game and 10-31 overall since 2003.
The historic ATS record on the road is 20-21-0 since 2003. Since last season the record is 6-4-0 in the spread on the road. In 2017 the Jazz had poor results on the road with 2-4 overall and 3-3-0 in the spread.
