Cleveland Browns vs. New Orleans Saints, visitors want to win the second game of the week after having lost the first week at home in front of the fans against a team that nobody expected could win on the road in that way as the Buccaneers. The home team for its part hopes to have a better season this year, at least to win 2 or 3 more games than last season when they did not win a single game during the whole season.
New Orleans Saints: We’re hungry.
The Saints lost the first game of the season at home 40-48 against the Buccaneers, that was a blow to the health of the team, but today they will have the opportunity to take revenge for the first week and beat the Browns. The only problem is that the forecasts are against the Saints, since since 2006 the team does not beat the Browns 19-14 on the road, in 2010 and 2014 the Saints fell in Cleveland. In 2017 the Saints’ record was 12-6-0 with 64.25% effectiveness. In the ATS the Saints completed 8-9-1 with 42.39% effectiveness.
Drew Brees against the Buccaneers pitched for 439 yards and 3 touchdown passes. 37 passes completed of 45 with an effectiveness of 82.22%, until now zero interceptions for him this year. Against the Buccaneers the Saints left an average of 10.1 points per quarter, but allowed almost the same number of points per quarter.
Cleveland Browns: New season, new opportunity.
The news of the week was on Josh Gordon, the wide receiver was released by the Browns for being late to training. Last season was a disaster, zero wins and 16 losses. In the first week of this new season, the team had a 21-21 draw against the Pittsburgh Steelers, it was the first draw of the season. There is really nothing interesting to say about the Browns, they are the worst team of last season, besides this year they have the same problems with the offensive and the special teams.
Tyrod Taylor may be the QB tonight in New Orleans, so far the numbers for him are good but not the best, although the Browns owe Taylor the equalizer in the 1:58 minute with a pass of 21 yards for a touchdown. The effectiveness of Taylor is low with 37.5% 15-40 in passes in the last game, while in the Buffalo Bills he only had an average effectiveness of 60%.
