The NFL brings more action today as the Cleveland Browns will clash with the New York Jets. It is expected that this will be a very interesting game between two teams that have a lot of potential.
Cleveland Browns Form
The Browns played really well in the preseason games this year. However, their good form ended as they were beaten by the underrated Titans. It was also proof that winning in the NFL is not something that can be achieved by only buying great players. However, it is expected that Mayfield will settle down and this game against the Jets is a great opportunity for the Browns. After all, New York is not a great defensive team.
On the defensive side of the ball, Myles Garrett and the rest of the front has an effective scorer in the games against the Jets.
New York Jets Form
The Jets were ecstatic that they signed Bell to a four-year deal. However, it seems that their offensive game is still suffering as Bell is not the type of running back that will do miracles right away. Also, the absence of Adam Schefter and Sam Darnold would surely cost them in the game against Browns. Trevor Siemian is now expected to be the starter with Luke Falk serving as the backup. Furthermore, even Bell might not be able to play as he suffering from a shoulder injury.
The offensive game of the Jets was somewhat solid in the beginning. However, they were outscored 31-7 by the Titans in the second half.
Prediction
The Browns were expected to be challenging for the top this season. And that still might be the case. But losing at the Titans was not something that many of their fans expected. On the other side, the Jets are not a great team overall this season. Therefore, I expect a win for the Browns in this game.
