The home team has not had a good season, in fact they have no chance of anything in the season, but they can hurt the Patriots if they manage to win at home today.
New England Platriots: Title very close.
The Patriots this season have a solid record of seven wins and three losses, not the best record of the season compared to the Rams, Chiefs and Saints, but so far this record has been enough to aspire to a super bowl. Last week the Patriots lost to the Titans 10-34 on the road, that was the end of a six week winning streak, with two victories on the road during the streak.
The last 4 games against the Jets have been victories for the Patriots, last year they won twice against the Jets on the road and at home. 2-2-0 in the ATS in the last four games since 2016.
Tom Brady had a bad performance against the Titans last week, 51.22% in completed passes and zero touchdown passes. In general Brady has thrown well this season with an average of 65.2% of completions, 2748 yards, 17 TDs and only seven interceptions. On the road the Patriots are scoring up to 20.6 points per game.
New York Jets: We are the worst of the division.
The Jets with another miserable season to forget, only three victories and seven defeats. Two wins at home against the Broncos 34-16 and against Colts 42-34. The first win was on the road in the first week against the Lions 48-17. The last four weeks have been defeats, last week they lost at home against the Bills 41-10. The team is the last in the division and will probably finish the season with only three victories as they still have difficult games ahead.
Sam Darnold will not be available against the Patriots. The other QB available is veteran Josh McCown, 39, with a loss this season (last week), 17-34 completions last week for 50%, 135 yards and 2 interceptions.
