The Devils suffered a hard to take 3-0 defeat in the game against the Bruins. Moreover, it seems that this team offensive performances are not up to the needed level. Also, New Jersey is the only team that still has not won any game in the Eastern Conference. Therefore, it is safe to say that they are under a lot of pressure heading into this game.
Cory Schneider made 29 saves for the Devils in the loss so it seems that their defensive line will need to improve for this game.
On the offensive side of the game, the Devils score an average of 1.80 goals per game which is the 30th record in the league in scoring.
As for the defensive side of the ice, the Devils concede an average of 4.20 goals per game which is the 26th record in the league in scoring defence.
Prediction
The Devils are in a bad situation as their form is poor at the moment. Moreover, their offensive record is not good enough and their defensive line is among the worst in the NHL. As for the Panthers, they are showing some good potential this season. They have lost the last game against the Islander and this game comes in the right time for them. Both of these two teams will suffer from fatigue as they have been playing a lot in the last few days. But I believe that the Panthers are the better team at the moment.
